Pain In Left Groin Area, Swelling, Irritation, Discomfort On Bending Over. Treatment?

i have had pain in left groin area for over a week (non testical) slightly swollen but the skin in the area has more of an irritated look about it. Woke this morning and now have slight swelling about 3 inches above the original area by the inside left hip measuring about 2 inches in length and maybe a half inch in width. No pain on new area - only slight discomfort when bending over.

Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have Left Inguinal Hernia, however final diagnosis can be confirmed only on clinical examination.

Please consult qualified General Surgeon for clinical assessment to confirm the diagnosis and further treatment.

if confirmed you may need to undergo surgery of Herniotomy and repair.
