Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
The nerves that supply ur leg arise from spinal cord.if it is compressed anywhere around spinal cord it causes pain and paresthesia in its distribution.in ur case it is l4 and l5 nerveroots of left side which innervate ur leg and are being compressed near the spinal cord.since the duration of ur complains is short of only 1week u can still continue conservative tt by taking painkillers and intermittent lumbar traction with nerve tonics like pregabalin and methyylcobolamine.but keep in mind that if severity increases u may eventually need surgery.also drink lots of water as u hv some congenital abnormality of kidneys and u r prone for uti.
