Hello,
My son plays football and fell on his RIGHT shoulder (indirectly, while going down on his backside). The fall caused him to feel immediate pain in his LEFT shoulder area (mostly the left backside and left side of chest. There is some noticeable swelling near the clavicle bone (I think that's right). He is able to move his left arm, with slight discomfort, but feels and hears a "popping" sensation/sound in the area.
X-rays revealed no fracture, break or collapsing lung. Now, two days later, the popping he is complaining of may actually be a missed fracture or break. Doctors and nurses said "playing football this week should be o.k., depending on his pain tolerance." Personally, I am worried and think I should get a second opinion.
What do you think of this?
