Pain In Left Shoulder, Weak And Heavy Upper Left Arm, Unable To Lift Arm. Advice

My upper left arm has become weak and heavy for about 3 hours now. I can't even lift it up paralel to my chest if I straighten my arm and lift it. My hands are also shaking, since about 6 p.m. this evening. Right arm is fine. I've had a pain in my left shoulder between my shoulder and neck (both dull and sharp pain) for a few days now.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain and weakness in the left arm is likely to be related to a nerve compression or a nerve related pathology. An MRI scan of the shoulder and the spine will help in proper diagnosis. Do consult a neurologist for the same.
