Pain In Left Side, Lump Under Arm. Worried

I have a friend who how has been suffering from pain on his let side above the waist close to the back he says it feelsl like it is deep inside for almost a year now it comes and goes but is there most of the time He looks so sick across his eyes his quality of life has really gone down hill he keeps putting off going to the Dr. he is afraid of what they might tell him He has had a large lump under his arm also for a long time now I don't know how to get him to see a Dr. My health is suffering from worrying about this

Hi,
Looks like you are a concerned friend.
From what you say, your friend is having this pain in his abdomen on the left side for almost a year and is looking sick. Then again we have this lump under his arm for a long time.

It could be that he is having some small infection inside but at the same time any serious disease needs to be ruled out. If I consider the lump under the arm to be a lymph node then the investigation is more necessary. Time must not be wasted.
Please get investigated.
