Pain In Leg After Doing Splits Forward. Hurts To Sit, Stretch. What Could I Have Injured?

hi my name is dalton, I did the splits forword and I felt and heard 3 pops in my front leg and when it happend it was the worst pain i have ever had. The morning after I was woken up from the pain and I had done that on Dec 8th 2012. I play baseball so i workout and do pilates all the time and my leg is still in pain to sit for long periods of time and to try and streach the leg. what could I have injured?

Popping sound indicated strain to the muscle or tendon.You need to have an x-ray to find out is there any bone injury i dont think so that there is bone injury as you didnt mentioned any swelling after injury.It will take some time for the reconstruction of the injured ligaments so you need you give rest and take some anti inflammatory drugs.Thank you.
