Hello and welcome to HCM.
Thank you for your query.
Although all your symptoms are related to a
urinary tract infection (UTI) and blood in the urine is present in some cases of UTI, you seem to be experiencing an increased amount of
hematuria (blood in urine). This is seen when there is some underlying cause to the UTI like stones in the renal system, etc.
You will have to go about the following investigations and visit a
urologist as well as a gynecologist at the earliest for an informed diagnosis and early treatment, they are: urine analysis, urine culture examination, physical examination and
ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis.
These above mentioned investigations will help confirm the infection, provide information on the best and most suitable antibiotic that can be used as well as screen for any underlying causes/abnormalities in the renal system.
Treatment will include antibiotic therapy, pain management medication and a potassium based solution. Additional treatment will be cause-specific.
In the meantime, it is advisable to drink plenty of water, even if this results in a further increase in episodes of urination. You could also add cranberry juice to your regimen, as it has found to have added benefits in relieving UTI-related symptoms.
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.
Best wishes.
