Pain In Shoulder Blades, Discomfort In Ribs. Earlier Had Cold

I have had what felt like muscle pain in my shoulder blades after doing some boxing type excercise, I thought it was just stiffness, then I had a cold and the ache didn't go so I thought it must be the cold, Gradually the pain/ache has receded but when I move in bed I can still feel something in my right rib/right shoulder blade and an uncomfortable strange feeling in my diaphragm.

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Since you have clearly mentioned about your boxing exercises, that is the only reason you are still experiencing the pain. It is due to the muscle overuse and you may have muscle spasm.

Please apply some ointment containing pail killer and muscle relaxant over your right shoulder blade. You could do heavy physical exercises after taking a physiotherapy recommendation.

Hope this helps.
