Pain In The Elbow After Being Hit. Hair Line Crack Suspected. Cure?
Hello I was running fast and hit my elbow into a metal pole, very sore and tingling fingers, burning feeling when trying to straighten arm , can’t sleep – very sore… seen the doctor and xray , very hard to see hair line crack, not to sure if it is a hair line crack as I am not a doctor?? Cannot see doctor again until Monday – lots of pain – what do you think it could be? Thanks
Even if it is a hairline crack, it needs no special intervention - it heals with time.
Ulnar nerve is just behind the inner aspect of the elbow - probably it got hit and could cause this - generally it also heals by itself.
In the mean time, till you could see your doctor -
Rest the part
Use Cold compress (ice bag)
You can try NSAID - Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs like Ibuprofen (available Over The Counter). If very severe, tramadol and/or gabapentin will help in pain relief - they need prescription from your GP
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
