Pain In The Hip. Could This Be Position Related? Need To Get Checked?
I've been having pains in my upper hip area for quite some time now. I can't sleep on my sides at night w/o waking up in pain, to where it hurts to roll over. We even replaced our mattress thinking that could be the problem. I went to a family doctor a year ago and she said that I need to stop sitting with my legs crossed or sitting in odd positions. Well, a couple weeks ago I woke up to a rather large long divot in my lower back right side area. It's not painful to touch. I just wonder if its associated with the pain I've been having or something else, and I'm not sure what type of doctor to go to for this, obviously I don't want to return to the one I went to before.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. If the pain is present on weight bearing and is persistent with intermittent sharp pain then it needs to be investigated to find out the exact cause. It is best to go for an MRI scan for proper diagnosis. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal drtayal72@gmail.com
