Pain In The Inside Of Knee When Bending The Knee, Debilitating Pain While Walking. No Relief From Anti- Inflammatories. Guide

Hi,
Lately, without any injury or known medical condition I've been experiencing pain in the inside of the left knee(more towards the back) when I squart or try to bend the knee. The pain is also there albeit, less intense when I extend the knee fully. I also experience debilitating pain after walking for more than a mile where the degree to which I can bend or flex the knee decreases, the pain is such that you want to completely stop!. No balance issues and no problem bearing weight on it for as long as no full bending or walking is involved. I have been taking some anti-inflamatories for a week but no change so far. Can you shine any light on this? I'm only 41 by the way.
Thanks

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain that you have is likely to be due to arthritic changes in the knee joint. A decrease in joint lubricants can also cause such symptoms. Supplements of Dycerin and chondroitin sulphate may help in addition to pain killers.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.

Hello
Thanks for posting your query.
Your symptoms suggestive of early osteoarthritic changes in your knee. This is condition of wear and tear of joint. For pain control you can take tramadol prepration after prescription by your doctor. I suggest you to get it evaluated by an orthopaedic surgeon for detailed examination and management. You may get an xray to see the arthritic changes.
Hope this will help you
Regards.
