Pain In The Lower Right Pelvic Area Due To Right Ovarian Cyst & Scar Tissue Due To Appendectomy?

Hi, Dr. Mia Lundi. I went in for a CT a few months ago for my stomach and they also found an ovarian cyst on my right ovary. For the last two or three months I've had a dull, achey pain come and go and randomly have sharp pains as well in my lower right pelvic area. It isn't here all of the time, but it is quite annoying when it is. I also have scar tissue there due to an appendectomy four years ago and it seems that the cyst makes me feel more uncomfortable with the scar tissue above. I was wondering of this was normal and if I should go to the doctor to get it checked out?

I really appreciate your concern, Ovarian cyst rarely causes pain, neither the appendix areas can cause the pain, these are very unlikely, this could be nonspecific type of pain, if I would be your doctor then I would treat you with the following medicine,
1) Tab Dicyclomine one tab three times in day
2) Tab Chlorodiazepoxide three times in day one tab
You have to keep your stress level low, I hope these treatment would cure your problems, no need to worry about this, take care and have nice day.
