Pain In Urethra, Urinary Track And Kidney, Taken Antibiotics, Urine Infection, Itchy Scrotum. Treatment?

I am suffering from pain in my urethra and urinary track am also feeling slight pain in my kidneys have taken some antibiotics but it is not going down. My wife was recently diagnosed with infection in the urine.Am also feeling some burning and slight itchiness on my scrotum please advice me what it could be and the treatment. my wife and i are faithful to each other so it could not be venereal disease please help

Hello
Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have UTI.

Please get your routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

lease take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefotaxime along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.and later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.


Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water.To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.

Please get your wife checked by qualified Gynaecologist to rule out vaginitis .She also needs
to be treated for UTI.
