Pain On Left Neck, Small Lump, Swelling. What It Could Be?
Hello Doctor, i have pain on the left side of my neck. I do not feel pain while swallowing with my head straight . But when i tilt my head upwards or towards right and swallow i feel sharp pain. I can even feel a small lump / swelling on the neck. When i touch that area with my finger, i feel a sharp pain too. Can u please suggest what could it be???
Is the swelling on the neck-cheek junction on left side of neck? Since it is painful on touch there is an inflammation probably in glans(parotid or submandibular salivary glands) or else if swelling away from cheek ,it could be muscular. In any case take Ibuprofen 400 thrice a day for 5 days and wait for response. if doesn't go or swelling increases in size or pain go to a Doc.for its physical examination, preferably a general-surgeon
