Hi I'm Katrina. For the past few weeks I've been getting pains on the left side the pain is bareable at the moment. The other day I woke up and had a really bad pain in my upper abdomen it last for three days. But I keep having my Bowles open everyday up to 3/4 times a day. I also keep getting muscle in my bowels. Could this be ibs?
Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist (DM).
IBS is diagnosed when symptoms are present for at least 6 months without any alarming features like weight loss, gastrointestinal bleeding, or fever. Further for diagnosis a thorough examination is required to see for any organic cause of the symptoms and if all the evaluation is negative then it can be IBS. So I will advise you to visit a Gastroenterologist for evaluation
I hope I have answered your query and this will help you. If you have any further query I will be happy to answer that too. Remain in touch and get-well soon.
