Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Pain On Rib Cage, Increases While Taking Weight, Pain In Liver Area. Treatment?
I have been experiencing pain under the right side of my ribcage, for the 2nd day, now. I thought it was gas trapped somewhere in my bowels. No nausea, no fever, no dizziness. It ranges from sharp pain to dull. It seems accentuated when I walk or pick up my kids. I took 2 Advil PM and slept well last night, but today the pain returned. I first felt pain when I was at work on Monday and I thought my pants were tight,(haha!) and gas was trapped. I ate lunch as usual and went back to work. The pain did not go away. It feels as if it is localized in the liver area. Please help! Before I see a doctor, I want to find out more about localized pain in this area. Thank you.
Hi, it appears to be the infection of the gall bladder, or stones in the gall bladder. I advise you to consult a gastro enterologist for diagnosis an dtreatment. You may need to have U.S. scanning for diagnosis. If stones are there you may need to have surgery. Thank you.
