Pain Under Skin Of Rib Cage, Radiating Pain, Feels Like Cyst On Left Side. What Could Be This?
HI DR. GRIEF, I AM HAVING A PAIN JUST UNDER MY SKIN BY THE (R) RIB CAGE AREA. IT IS PAINFUL ONLY WHEN I TOUCH IT. THE PAIN IS A BURNING SENSATION AND SLIGHTLY RADIATES... IT FEELS AS IF I HAD A BRUISE PAIN BUT THERE IS NO VISIBLE SIGN OF AND I HAVE NOT HURT MYSELF PHYSICALLY. I AM 51 YEARS OLD, IN GOOD HEALTH. ON MY LEFT SIDE I HAVE WHAT IT FEELS LIKE A CYST WHICH IS STARTING TO HURT A LITTLE. I HAVE A QUESTION. I'VE NEVER USED THIS SITE, DO YOU TROUBLESHOOT TO PROVIDE SEVERAL POSIBILITES OR IS JUST A ONE TIME ANSWER TO A POTENTIAL POSIBILITY. PLEASE ADVISE AND THANK YOU
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The pain under the skin on the left rib cage could be due to a muscular inflammation, costochondritis or a lung infection. This needs a direct examination and a few investigations to pin point the diagnosis. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
