hello doctor, from nearly last one month it always pains when i pass stools & pain last for around 8 to 10 hrs a day. and also around every next day, i saw little amount of blood while washing, followed by pain.So to get relief i apply boroline to my anus region ,but i think the actual region of pain is just inside my anus where i could not apply cream. This whole problem start around 40 days ago when dentist removed my wisdom tooth by surgical process;as it got infected; after 5 to 6 days after this i got constipated i.e;stools are so hard that i prefer not to pass stools as it pains a lot ,after it i visited doctor he gives me SMOOTH SUSPENSION stool softner but pain around my anal area continues (as i think injuries around area are reponsible). So again i visited doctor he then gaves me two tablets PILON & STYPLON a dose for one week and it gives me relief, but after dose over it start again and since then it continues till today when i saw a spoonful of blood after stools.NOW after telling you every thing. Please tell me DOCTOR what do i do as pain has become daily problem.one thing to tell you I am 23 yrs old youth.Kindly,Reply me with efficient solution as soon as possible.

Hi there,

Thanks for your query. I fully understand the agony you are passing through.

From the details provided, you are apparently suffering from fissures-in-ano (bruises of the very delicate inner lining of anal canal due to friction caused by hard stools).

You will certainly feel better and finally get cured with the following treatment:-

(a) Application of hydrocortisone + xylocaine jelly 3-5% before and after defecation.
(b) A short course of antibiotics, such as, Doxycycline 100mg twice daily for a week.
(c) Most important is the use of strong laxative, such as, Liquid paraffin/Lactulose liquid 30ml twice daily, till such time the stools become soft; thereafter, use it daily at bedtime for another 10 days, so as to give time for the anal fissures to heal completely.
(d) Avoid constipation in future.

The other possibility is bleeding piles. In any case, the treatment for both conditions is the same.

Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he agree with me; carry out proctoscopy to directly visualize the nature of lesion, and- based on the findings- will prescribe suitable treatment in appropriate doses, as advised.

If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE all doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.

Fond regards and have a nice day
