Painful Lump In Stomach Especially During Periods, Severe Mood Swings And Hot Flashes. What Could This Be?

I have a lump in my stomach that hurts at times and gets larger at times, especially before my period. 3 months ago I got a pain in another part of my stomach which caused me to pass out and hit my head causing a concussion and a slight broken nose. My doctor was going to send me for an ultrasound and bloodwork but realized I don t have insurance. I always pay cash for visits. I do get extremely emotional for at least a day before my period, my stomach is very sensitive to touch for several days a month, I m 36, have had 2 children. Muscles did tear during first pregnancy and I was told that I had a cyst on my ovary and my uterus is tilted. I thought I may be going through early menopause but then I get nervous thinking it could be cancer. I do get hot flashes and have been getting hair in unwomanly spots. When I look up causes it ranges from menopause, cancer or hernia. Can you tell me what you think?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

In my opinion the cause could be a hormonal one, that has resulted in the symptoms you are experiencing. But I would say that the loss of consciousness could be something else, and all other causes may have to be ruled out. I only wish you had your insurance so I could advise investigations like an MRI brain freely. As these would help rule out all other causes. And of course the ultrasound of your abdomen (the affected region).

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
