Painful Swollen Soft Palate. Any Home Remedy?

my soft palate at the back of my mouth is very painful i dont know whether it is swollen or not but just painful people say its the synptoms of tonsils but i dont know,Because my actual throat is not sore. please suggest some home remedies i may use and if those dont work please suggest some medically approved remedies i can buy

ADD ANTACID SYP GELUSIL 2 TSF TDS
AVOID OILY GREESY AND SPICY FOOD
CAN APPLY KENACORT MOUTH GEL WHERE YOU FEEL SRE
