Partial Hysterectomy Done, Persisting Abdominal And Gastric Pain. Relief Measures?
I am 31 years old, 5'11, 150lbs. I had a partial hysterectomy on Monday (discovered a ruptured cyst near my right ovary, removed the ovary and uterus). I am currently still in the hospital and can barely move nor rest due to intense abdominal pain and tremendous gas pains. The nurse will not give me some GasX but I need relief, doctor! I have been walking as much as I can bare but is there anything else I can do (manually or otherwise) to provide me with some inkling of relief?
I understand your concern. I hope you have contacted your doctor's office (the one who did your hysterectomy) to let them know what is going on. It is good to keep them posted. If you do not know what the reason for your pain is, it might be helpful to schedule an appointment with your gynecologist. Also, in the interim, please try over the counter analgesics like the one you had been on. Keeping ambulated and active is also helpful to distract yourself away from the pain. I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!
