Partial Numbness In Mouth, Lips And Tongue For Few Hours, Dizziness. Any Ideas?

Yesterday and today I've experienced a numb feeling in my mouth, lips, and tongue. It lasts for a few hours, and the numbness is partial - I can still feel these areas of if I press on them, but it's a blunted feeling. I was also dizzy yesterday at the same time I had the numbness. It feels like I'm coming off of a Novocaine shot from the dentist.

Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

According to your clinical symptoms i suppose that you might be having the above symptoms due to an allergic reaction causing numbness and tingling in the mouth, other than it can be due to hyperventilation, peripheral neuropathy, stress, anxiety, smoking, use of certain medications causing low calcium levels.
Get a checkup done by the Physician.
Avoid smoking habit if present.
Maintain a good oral hygiene.

Hope this helps out.

Take care!
