Partial Tears In Rotator Cuff, Bone Spur. Recommended Manipulation Under Anesthesia, Physical Therapy. Will This Help?

Hi,
I have two partial tears in my left rotator cuff, plus a bone spur. I have a lot of pain particularly at night, plus limited movement.
I have been told that I need a manipulation under general anesthesia, then immediate physical therapy.
I am not at all comfortable with this and wonder how this works to heal the tears and improve
shoulder strength.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The manipulation under anaesthesia will help in decreasing the joint stiffness and will increase the joint mobility. Physiotherapy will help you further.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
