Hello. I have recently found a single lesion looking thing on my pelvis . Not around my penis though. Just on my pelvis where I do have a lot of hair. It isn t really painful but it is itchy. I have found a lesion like this once before on my pelvis and it went away on its own. NEVER have I found said lesion on my penis or scrotum . Also these lesions are single and look like a single pimple . Not clustered. Should I be worried for Herpes? Or am I driving myself insane needlessly?
Dear n.p.gerst. If you want my honest opinion (which one rarely gives nowadays even to spouses), yes you are driving yourself insane needlessly. From all accounts & what you have stated, you seem to be ailing from an 'ingrown' hair follicle or a ruptured follicle following shaving in the region most likely against the grain. You may want to try a topical 'mixed bag' cream as i call them with a steroid-antibiotic-antifungal combo cream for 3-5 days & it should get better. You have not divulged any sexual history preceding & as such, it seems a touch unfair to 'speculate'. Take care & hope this was helpful. cheers. Dr Praveen Rodrigues Dermatologist & Venereologist
