Pelvic Pain In Left Side, Radiates To Upper Thigh. Had Hysterectonomy. Normal Test Results. Any Ideas?

Hi, I have been having pelvic pain on the left side that radiates down into my upper leg/thigh. Some days are better than others; pain can range from a 0-5 on any given day and is usually more prominent in the morning. On some days however (like today) the pain will linger all day even with taking OTC pain meds. I use Aleve or Motrin.
I had a hysterectomy two yrs ago but still have my ovaries. One week ago I had an ultrasound (internal & abdominal) and everything with kidneys, bladder, spleen, ovaries, liver, GB, CBD, pancreas, proximal aorta all appeared normal. Do you have any other ideas what could cause this sort of pain?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.

There is possibility of adhesions due to previous hysterectomy.
That can give this type of pain. That may not be noticed in ultrasound sometimes.
Symptomatic treatment is needed.
If the pain becomes severe you may need diagnostic and therapeutic laparoscopy to diagnose and release the adhesions.
You discuss this possibility once with your doctor and decide accordingly.
