Pelvic Ultrasound Shows Gravid Uterus, Femoral Length, Cardiac And Somatic Activity. What Does It Mean?
Hi im Mrs. Manguiat ..Im 23 yrs old,the result of my pelvic ultrasound is: Within the gravid uterus is a single live fetus in cephalic presentation with the following measurements. Biparietal diameter:6.67cm(26weeks and 4days) Femoral length:4.82cm (25weeks and 5days) Abdominal circumference 21.8cm(26weeks and 0days) Head circumferencem:24.1cm (25weeks and 4days) Real time scan shows good cardiac and somatic activity. Fetal heart=163 beats/minute. Placenta is implanted posteriorly grade 2 maturity, high lying.there is adequate amount of amniotic fluid... Question:what does this result means?is it in normal ranges?..
I would have liked if you could share the impression mentioned in your report as it is a summary of all findings and gives average fetal age.
However from what you have written, all parameters are in normal range. I suppose you are in your 25 - 26 weeks of pregnancy as per findings. The heart rate and placental position are normal. Head, abdominal circumference, femur length (thigh bone) are all normal.
Hope this helps.
