Hello dear, periods set in about 2-7 days after stopping dydrogestrone which is a progesterone and when stopped after being consumed for a while causes withdrawal bleeding. Progesterone is normally produced by female ovaries in second half of the menstrual cycle which functions to support the lining of uterus. Withdrawal of this hormone occurs in normal cycle also thus leading to mentrual flow every month.
