I have a l5 Si herniated disc have had cortisone injection once with no effect have changed from voltaren 2 per day and 6 Panadol osteo to 1 Mobic and 2 lyrica yesterday have had nerve and pins and needles in my leg for 7 weeks since it happened. I was slightly incontinent with my bowell this morning I thought it may be from change in medication it happened once before when I went on medication initially with this problem I am 71

Hi The symptoms of you are the because of L5S1 compression. it can cause cauda equina syndrome characterised by constipation or urinary retension. You should get a neuro consultation soon.If the medication and physiotherapy dont help then you need surgical decompression.Hope this may help you. thanks
