Patients with placenta praevia are advised rest to ensure a safe delivery.brownish blood indicates an old haemorrhage which might be oozing out.but that does not mean that you are safe to do any kind of work.fresh bleeding can occur anytime and so you are advised rest with preferably the foot end raised.a doppler ultrasound is advised to make sure the foetus is not compromised.
