Is there any risk to my baby or me, as my placenta maturity is grade 2
Hello Thanks for your query. Placental maturity reflects the ageing of the placenta. Grade 2 maturity is alright. Your problem is gestational diabetes. There are definite risks to you such as metabolic complications, renal damage, risk of cesarean delivery, and risks to baby such as anomalies, growth problems, sudden intrauterine death etc. the baby weight is also quite low for 32 weeks. Please consult an endocrinologist for immediate management of diabetes. For the growth restriction, consult your obstetrician as the baby is at risk. All the best.
