Plugged Milk Duct, Clogged Duct. What Is Treatment?

I breast feed my daughter.She s 2 months old.I keep getting painful plugged milk ducts.And my 2 month old only poos once a day and sometimes it s green and runny and sometimes it s yellow and seedy.Sometimes she ll go a whole week and not poop.I m about ready to stop breast feeding cause I can t handle the pain of clogged milk ducts.I get them unclogged and they come back a few days later.What she I do or how can u help.

The most likely thing that can happen if you stop breast feeding now is that:
1. You might likely develop a breast abscess given the problem you are already having
2. Your daughter might continue suffering from neonatal colic (given that she is already suffering from already) as artificial milk is known to be very associated with bowel disorder.

What do I suggest? Continue exclusively breast feeding her for up to 6 months and use analgesia such as paracetamol or acetamenophen from time to time to manage the pain. The clogging might go off by itself as time goes. You can also increase the rate of breast feeding between 8-10 (or more) daily. Well I know that might be difficult if you are working. Trying giving your daughter breast milk directly from your breast most of the time. You may seek a gynobs opinion too.
Secondly, make sure your daughter is exclusively breast fed. If it comes to the worst, regarding her bowel problems see a pediatrician.
