Popping Sensation In Distal MCL When Doing Squats. Suggestions?

I am a special operations combat medic. I have a Pt. who complains of a popping sensation in the area of the L distal MCL when doing squats . It is my understanding that this is not a common symptom of a tear or a sprain . do you have any suggestions?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
If it is only sound and there is no pain then you should not be worried about this. If your pain is increasing then get a ultrasound to check which structure is causing problem. According to that we can plan further management. For mild pain you can take Brufen tablet and hot water fomentation.
