Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
G6PD is a enzyme defeciency which is passed on to the child from parents.Hepatitis B is a infection which can be passed on to the newborn by mother.Nowdays when docters know the positive status in mother they do give Hepatitis B immunoglobulin inj along with Hep B inj to the newborn within 48hrs.So find out from your Obstetrician an the pediatrician present at the time of delivery whether it was administerd to the baby .IF it has been given then this baby will not get Hepatitis B from you.If the inj were not given then you might need to check in the baby whethr she has got the infection from you in about 6weeks and later at 1yr.
All thge best.
Bye
Take care.
