Possibility Of Ligament Damage Again After Lifting Heavy Weight After Having Knee Reconstruction Surgery Previously?

I had a knee reconstruction quite a few years ago on my left leg. I have been doing strength work on it quite regularly, then a few days ago I was in the gym & I was doing a power clean movement so lifted the weight then did a squat to get under it as I did that my left knee just gave way & I collapsed, does it sound like I could damaged my ligaments again?

Hello,
Thanks for your query.
It is quite possible to having ligament damage again after lifting heavy weight. I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. You may get the MRI of the area affected under his/her guidance.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
