Diabetologist 's  Response
Dear Sir/Madam,
Welcome to HCM
The current schedule you are in is called the Basal-Bolus regimen. This method is best for patients in acute conditions and in post op recovery. Insulin will help in wound healing and the current Basal bolus regimen will help in fine tuning sugar levels.
My recommendation will be to continue on basal bolus regimen till your wound has fully healed. You can get back to premix insulin once you start walking and doing your normal activities. It also depends on the sugar levels.
Hope i have answered your query.
Wishing you a speedy recovery!
