Pregnancy Test Is Negative. Sexually Active. Periods Is Unusual. Have Diarrhea. Feel Nausea. Is There Any Possibility Of Pregnancy?
hi....I'm a female in college. I am sexually active and on birth control. Just so everything is clear, I have taken an at home pregnancy test. It was negative. I only did one. Now, my period has started, but it unusually terrible compared to previous months. The cramps are horrible. I have diarrhea. Also, the weirdest of all, I felt like throwing up, went through the process of throwing up and threw up a little bit. Odd thing is...there was some blood in my throw up. I am unsure what this means. If you could help me in any way, that would be very much appreciated.
Hi, If you have had your period when it is due, there is no possibility of pregnancy. Your symptoms are suggestive of excessive prostaglandin release as happens sometimes. You may need to take an anti-diarrheal and an anti-inflammatory that is preferably anti-prostaglandin. If you still wish to make sure it is not pregnancy, you should get the blood test done as this is a definite confirmation. Presence of blood in the vomit could be due to retching but should be observed. If it persists, it needs investigation and treatment. Hope this helps.
