Pregnant. Having Stinging Sensations In Tail Bone. Is This Early Labor Contractions?

I am 37 weeks pregnant and am having regular stinging sensations in my tailbone. They come every six minutes or so and last about a minute. My contractions with my first child felt like this, only in my pelvis. I was recently in the birthing center where they told me that I was indeed having contractions, "just not enough to do anything yet." Is this early labor, pre labor, or the real deal? I can walk and talk through them. Also, this has been going for four days.

Hi,
It seems that you might be having uterine contraction or abdominal colic due to constipation.
Consult your Obst and get examined.
Ultra sound will give important clue regarding your pain.
Take rest and remain in follow up with your Obst.
Ok nd take care.
