Pregnant. Mild Cramps, Stinging Pain. Participated Regetta. Help?

hi i am 42 years old woman at her first, natural pregnancy, now 5-6 weeks since my last period. hcg seems fine, they doubled after 2 days. i feel mild period-like pain but tonight after sailing i started having stinging pain more frequently than other days. tomorrow have another regatta so would like to know if the stinging is simply a hormonal effect or it can be triggered by physical activity? is it dangerous?
thanks

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Some amount pain abdomen can be seen during pregnancy.
Which can occur due to growing of the uterus.
If the pain continues you consult gynecologist once and get examined for:
-To rule out urinary tract infection
-Any possibility of uterine action
If needed you can go for progesterone supplementation with your doctor's advice.
