Hello,
A pregnancy of 2 months should usually show a gestation sac of 6-8 weeks size with fetal pole and cardiac activity. Failure to do so could be due to either a delayed conception probably due to a delayed ovulation as in irregular cycles or a blighted ovum. For a conclusion, it is advisable to have follow up sonograms, preferably trans-vaginal, coupled with serial serum beta-hCG titres to assess the progress of pregnancy. Falling titres with a static pregnancy indicate a missed abortion. Hope this helps.
