Prescribed Divalproex, Clonozepam For Seizure, Migraine And Anxiety. Gastric Problems Started On Stopping Medication

I am a patient of seizures migrane and anxiety and 3 months ago my doctor prescribed me for divalproex 250 at bd and clonozepam at BT
I have continued on these meds for 3 months he told me to discontinue meds
Now I am having some gastric problems like dahirea and small blood particles with my stool and if I press on lower left abdomen it hurts
I am so scared after seeing blood help me

Thanks for using Healthcaremagic,
After going through your history if seizure and migraine is there then why the medicines are stopped , I am unable to understand?

These medicines are to be continued for long duration to prevent acute attacks of migraine and convulsions.

If your doctor has asked you have to stop them and you can seek second opinion with a Neuro physician.

Your gastric problem may or may not be related with these medications but if blood is there usually it is due to infection so stool test Routine and microscopic should be performed and treatment depends on cause.

Please keep yourself well hydrated and specific therapy of antibiotics and/or metronidazole may be given by treating doctor.

If it settles down then it is OK otherwise a colonoscopy and ultrasonography of abdomen can give some clue to the cause.
