Prescribed Tonact For High LDL Cholesterol. Increased Nerve Pain. Due To Medicine?
My LDL choloestroal is high, Doctor prescribed me to take Tonact 10 once in everyday after launch,i have some nerve problem, but after taking this medicine my nerve pain increases. Should I continue this medicine? Or please kindly suggest if any alternate medicine is available in this connection. I would appreciate to have your advice. I am 63 years old.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Lipid lowering agents are safe in your case. Since you have mentioned that you are taking TONACT 10 mg. This means you are a patient of high cholesterol (hypercholestrolaemia). You mentioned that after taking medicine your nerve pain increases. In my opinion tonact is a safe drug in this regard. Your age is 63 years and prone to many diseases so routine check up is necessary.
As far as concerned about nerve pain , please get in blood examination for diabetes and lipid profile so that exact reason of nerve pain could be established. Till the best way is to take this medicine. Hope I have answered your query. If further any question I will be happy to help. Good luck. Dr. HET.
