Prescribed Gabapentin For Nerve Pain, Oxycontin For Stage 4 Colon Cancer. Can I Mix Medications By Following Instructions?
i was just prescribed gabapentin for nerve pain relating to gout/severe (non dialysis)pain i also have stagge 4 colon/stomach cances and use oxycontin 10 mg long(12hr) and 10 mg fast acting but cannot be used in an abusive manner, my oncologist says i can mix all medications following labeled instructions without worry is this correct ?

There are no serious drug interactions known to happen between oxycontin and gabapentin. You can go ahead and take them. Please take oxycontin only as much as prescribed as it is known to have addictive properties
