Prescribed Vitamin E From Day 1 Of ICSI Procedure. Is This The Reason For Miscarriage?

Can a dosis of 400 mg vitamin E per day subscribed by my gynaecologist from day 1 of an ICSI procedure have caused my miscarriage in the 8th week of my twin pregnancy? (These vitamin supplements were subscribed without any questions from her side about my diet. I eat healthy : lots of veggies, fruits, olive oil, omega 3 rich fish 2x/wk, nuts etc.). I'm a 40 year old woman and mother of a 22 months old son (my first ICSI attempt was succesful; no vitamin E taken at that time). I never had any miscarriages before.

hello

welcome to HCM

its unfortunate that the pregnancy did not continue had ended as a miscarriage

You have done all the right things like rest, eating healthy food, but we have to understand that as the woman grows older the risk of miscarriage also increases. and from your history you are 40 years old

Vitamin E does not cause miscarriage
it is recommended for treatment of infertile couples

hope to have answered your query
