Primary Complex,PPD Test Negative.

Hi, My daughter had primary complex when she was about 3 years old. It was very well treated. She is 17 years now. Recently we had done a PPD test and the result was negative. My concern is that, she will have to do a quantiferon test as part of her health requirement for the university How do you think the test result will be? Will it recur again ? Right now she is a generally healthy kid.

Hello
If the child was treated with full course of anti tubercular drugs then Quantiferon tb gold test is going to be negative however your daughter can get TB in future whenever her immunity becomes very low because of any thing.
This TB is the reactivation of primary complex.
Thanks
