Prostate Volume Enlarged In Renal Ultrasound. Normal Prostate Volume For 27 Yr Old?

Hi, I recently went for a renal ultrasound . My prostate volume was measured at 35cc. I have no symptoms, I ve always been a frequent urinator since I was a child and last time I was checked my prostate was found to be slightly enlarged but nothing to worry about. Is the 35cc volume normal for my age? I am 27 years old, non-smoker, very light drinker, not overweight

Hello
Thanks for your query. You are 27 years old and your ultrasound revealed prostate size of 35 cc.Normal volume of prostate is 20 to 22 cc.So it looks marginally enlarged You have not worry as long as you do not have symptoms related to prostate enlargement.Get your routine urine test done This enlargement could be due to Chronic Prostatitis Please consult some Urologist who will carry out( DRE).Digital Rectal Examination to confirm the diagnosis.Take antibiotics like Doxycyclin twice a day for 3 weeks It will resolve the issue.
