Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi and welcome to HCM
Lost strength and weakness could be de to nerve compression or injury. MRI scan of cervical region will be helpful to access the compression over nerve roots. I suggest you to get it evaluated thoroughly by an orthopaedician for proper diagnosis and management.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and informative and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care.
