Rashes From Mosquito Bites Looking, Itching Like Shingles. Relief From Antifunal Creams. Suggested Possible Reaction For Being Off From Januvia. Normal?

I started developing rashes last year when bitten by mosquitos. I am 57 yr old so am well aware of what a bite SHOULD look like. These rashes develop w/I a few hrs/days after being bitten & look like/itch similar to shingles. They are more responsively treated w antifungal creams than the normal calamine lotions/creams. Just visited family Dr. yesterday who gave me no clue/solution as to what to do. Thinks it might be a reaction involved w the Januvia I recently took myself off of due to the bad press it's getting lately. I've never known of a mosquito bite to do this. Is it common?

Welcome to Healthcaremagic. From you query i understood that you are allergic to mosquito bite. It can be treated by Antihistamines like cetrizine and local soothing creams. Januvia ( Slitagliptin) does not related in any way to mosquito bite or antifungal cream. Do not confuse yourself.
