Reason For Feeling Cold In The Afternoon Daily?

Hello, I have noticed that every afternoon around 4 pm I start to get really cold. No amount of blankets or sweaters can help. The room temp will be 22 C and I m freezing. I have normal thyroid levels after having half of my thyroid removed in 2002. I had back surgery in 2011 and due to an unsuccessful surgery I am currently taking Gabapentin, Athrotec, Cympbalta, Oxyneo and Tecta. I take a dose of Gabapentin 300 mg, Oxy 20 mg and Arthrotec at 3:30 pm. Can you think of any reason why this happens. It almost feels like I m feverish but when I take my temperature, it reads normal.

Hello,Welcome to the HCM...
Brief answer...It could be because of posterior spinal nerves injury or hypothyroidism..
Detailed answer....First of all I would like to know ,what was the reason ,that you had to go for back surgery? As there are nerves in posterior column of spinal cord and thalmus (brain part) which control temprature.Any kind of injury in these two parts could cause irregularity of sensation of temprature..
But since Post thyroidectomy ,it is also very common as it again can cause hypothyroidism..
My opinino would be get checked again by your neurosurgeon and endocrinologist and discuss further.
