Hi,

What she is experiencing might be related to possible inflammation of tendines or muscles which are attached to the joints.

One reason might be the damages during exercise. If the rheumatologist excluded any rheumatological problems; then, I suggest to consult an orthopedist in order to determine if the problems she is having are due to bones (joints) damages and get them corrected accordingly.

Meanwhile, I advise:
- not to get her leg moved (exercise) until improvement
- apply cold compresses
- take anti-inflammatory drugs (acetaminophen, ibuprofen,) to reduce swelling and inflammation

Hope it was of help!
