Reason For Pain Around Adam S Apple When Swallowing Beverage?
I have had a pain around/above my adam s apple for about 6-8 wks. Its only painful when swallowing a beverage. I have seen an ENT, who put a catherer down my nose to look at my throat. He said I had GERD and prescribed an anti acid medication. I have been on this med for a month with no signs of relief.

* The symptoms do not sound to be GERD related. Can be inflammation related or another issue.
* Need the second opinion with another ENT surgeon and discuss the need of barium swallow or MRI of the region for further work up.
